Navratri is observed four times in a year. Sharad Navratri is considered to be the most important. The first day of Navratri festival is dedicated to honor Goddess Shailaputri, the daughters of Himalaya and Myna. He is placed on a ball of Nandi, holding a flower in his left hand and a trident in his left hand.Near him are all the divine powers of Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
