About Navratri: Panchami, Skandamata Puja 2025

On the fifth day of Navratri, Skandamata, the fifth form of Goddess Durga, is worshipped. Worshiping Goddess Skandamata destroys negative powers. That is, Skandmata does all the work of her devotees. Even the most impossible tasks are accomplished by worshiping him. Besides, by worshiping Skandamata, a person also gets the happiness of having children and the person gets relief from all pain and suffering going on in the life.

As the consort of Lord Shiva, mother gave birth to Swami Kartikeya. Another name of Lord Kartikeya is Skanda, hence this form of Mother Durga was called Skandamata. Mother Skandamata has four arms. The mother rides on a lion with Lord Kartikeya in her lap. Mother has lotus in both her hands. Also, bow and arrows should be offered in the worship of Skandamata(स्कंदमाता). Skandamata loves yellow color things the most. Banana should be offered to the mother. They should be offered yellow color flowers and fruits. If you wish, to offer naivedya to mother Skandamata. You can offer saffron kheer to her. You can also offer green cardamom mixed in water to the Mother Goddess. By giving a pair of cloves to the mother, the thought in the mind is definitely fulfilled.
