Why Good Friday Celebrates?
Good Friday is a Christian holy day that celebrates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is celebrated during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum (पास्कल ट्रिडुम).

It is also known as Black Friday, Holy Friday, Great Friday, Good Friday of the Passion of the Lord, Great and Holy Friday also Holy and Great Friday.
A day of Sorrow & Remembrance
Good Friday, a day of sorrow and remembrance for Christians, is named "Good" because of its religious significance. Christians believe that Jesus' death on the cross was the final sacrifice for the sins of humanity, saving humans from death.
If anyone has seen the Passion of the Christ, where Jesus' final hours are filmed in excruciating detail, most people would question why Good Friday is called 'Good Friday'. At least that was my thought between the victory over the whips and the obvious pain Jesus was experiencing.

For Christians, Good Friday is an important day of the year because it celebrates what we consider the most important day in the history of the world. On Good Friday, Jesus willingly suffered and died on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.
