About Eid-e-Milad 2025

Meaning of Eid-e-Milad (عید میلاد)

Eid-e-Milad is one of the most awaited Muslim festivals. This festival brings happiness to the Muslim community. Muslims around the world pay tribute to Prophet Muhammad (حضرت محمدﷺ). On the day of the festival, they will wear new clothes and visit the nearest mosques to offer special prayers. Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca, a city in Saudi Arabia. His teachings are believed to be very valuable to the community. Muslims are will organize meetings to remember and discuss the great teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Significance of Eid-e-Milad

Eid-e-Milad is called Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (عید میلاد النبی), is a beloved Muslim festival celebrated across India and some Islamic countries. This joyous occasion commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, who is regarded by Muslims around the world as a messenger of God. This auspicious anniversary falls in Rabi' al-Awal, the third month of the Islamic calendar.
